The Body and Ancestral Trauma

​Healing the ancestors is also an invitation to go back home: your body and its memories. That body that you do not know and wears your name, that you have not lived in or listened to for a long time, has stories to tell you.  It has the memories of your life and records the events of your ancestors that you have not made visible or felt.

Traumas are written in the body from our childhood when our spontaneous movements and expressions were rejected. When we lived wounds of war, when we could not express ourselves, we separated from the body in order not to feel and survive, blocking our natural being.

"The knowledge of one's own body possesses, in effect, an immediate psychological resonance.  Just as ignorance, fear or insecurity of physical identity block energies, so awareness enables us to achieve human wholeness. Within the process, we will search through into conscious bodywork by becoming aware of the blockages we have been hiding for so long."

It is an invitation to open ourselves to travel with courage and
humility with the help of the breath to surrender to conscious
listening to heal.
